New Honda Civic with Increased Style and Technology for 2015

Honda has confirmed Irish pricing and specification for a series of upgrades to the 2015 Honda Civic, which will is available in dealerships across Ireland now.
Entry pricing remains unchanged and starts from a competitive €21,895 for the highly-equipped 1.4 i-VTEC Comfort model, now with additional specification including City-brake active system and Bluetooth. The introduction of the new Civic Si marks a new more dynamic styling departure for the Civic Range. Styling changes are intended to echo the look of the upcoming Civic Type R, and include the introduction of a new rear spoiler, new lights with integrated daytime running lights, sporty new bumpers front and rear with a diffuser style finish and an eye-catching mesh grille.
With PCP an increasingly popular option for Honda customers, as a representative example of the range, the 1.4 i-VTEC Comfort is available from just €219* per month with 4.9% APR finance available across the range until March 31st.
The new Civic is marked out by increased technology, both in active safety and in connectivity. All Civic models now come equipped with Honda’s City-brake Active System, which uses radar sensors to monitor in front of the vehicle and automatically apply the brakes to reduce the risk of collision. The system operates between 5 and 32km/h and is standard on all new Civics. In terms of connectivity, the new Honda Connect system is standard on all grades except entry level and offers a new tablet-style 7” touchscreen interface, allowing for internet access, phone connectivity, and a range of other functions with Mirrorlink and Siri compatibility.
The refreshed Civic has also received significant improvements to the drive, with the introduction of Honda’s Agile Handling Assist system as standard on hatchback models. Honda’s Engineers spent considerable time tweaking the driving dynamics to closer link the car to the upcoming Type R with revisions to the handling, suspension and steering, aimed to create a car which is sharper to drive, while remaining smooth and comfortable to drive.
Powering the Civic is a range of petrol and diesel engines including petrol powered 1.4 i-VTEC and 1.8 i-VTEC automatic, and the award-winning diesel 1.6 i-DTEC. Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology 1.6 i-DTEC offers class-leading real-world fuel economy levels, with consumption of 3.6l/100km (78.5mpg) for annual road tax from €180.
Generously Equipped Specifications
The new Civic will be available with four generously equipped trim levels Comfort, Sport, Si and Executive, and with a choice of 3 engines. Honda’s Dynamic Safety is available at an additional €1,500 and adds a raft of safety aids, such as forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, blind spot information, cross traffic monitor and high beam support system.
Generous standard equipment on the Civic has been improved for 2015 and all models now features City-brake active system, Bluetooth, 16” Alloy wheels, Climate control, Alarm, Magic Seats, Idle Stop, Eco Assist, Hill Start Assist, Remote audio controls, LED Daytime running lights and Front centre armrest.
The popular Sport grade adds the new Honda Connect internet-ready touchscreen infotainment system, Rear parking camera, Cruise control, Automatic lights and wipers, Front fog lights, Auto-dim rear view mirror, Leather steering wheel and Electrically folding mirrors.
New to the range for 2015 is the sporty Civic Si, which incorporates features such as 17” Alloy wheels in black gloss finish, Mesh front grille, Body coloured rear spoiler, Privacy glass, Black interior roof lining and Alloy pedals.
The Civic Executive tops off the range with Leather upholstery, Panoramic glass roof, Garmin satellite navigation, Heated front seats, Driver’s seat electric lumbar support, and High-power audio system.
